CheckWorkRights facilitates an email self-onboarding workflow, providing an efficient way to securely contact either existing employees or prospective employees to complete outstanding checks. We call this process MyCheck.

All you need is a name and email address, and the CWR application does the rest.

Emails sent from our application can be customised by changing the sending name and email address, email content and logo to ensure consistent branding.

The employee receives the email to their inbox, which contains a link to the MyCheck Dashboard where we securely collect and record employee consent before facilitating the checking process.

Emails are tracked for deliverability, with reporting on numbers yet to respond, and automated reminder emails sent following the first request. Reminder emails for pending checks can be sent at a configurable frequency but by default they're sent every three days.

We also have a report that CheckWorkRights users can subscribe to, which will provide notification of a candidate completing the email onboarding. This is useful to recruitment teams who are waiting for checks to be completed to move an applicant through an onboarding workflow.

Email Flow - Work Entitlement Process

The employee is first asked for a declaration of Citizenship, and consent to provide documents to prove their Australian work entitlement for employment with your organisation.

Australian Citizens declare citizenship and provide evidence documents to support it.

Foreign Citizens declare their citizenship and are asked to provide their consent for CWR to run VEVO checks on behalf of the employer. Following consent, their data from the document provided is used to conduct a VEVO check with The Department of Home Affairs in real-time.

Real-Time Check

The CWR application runs VEVO checks instantly via our secure direct connection to the Department of Home Affairs. This gives us the ability to report the result of the check back to the employee or candidate immediately after they've entered their details.

This is important because it allows us to assist an individual who has not been able to receive a successful check result with options for them to resolve their issue themselves. This usually results is the smooth resolution of errors, allowing Home Affairs to return a successful check, all without any input from an HR team!
